Moscow — Dozens of polar bears have moved into the edges of a town in Russia's far north, compelling occupants to play it safe as the eager creatures rummage for nourishment. Earthy people say the warming atmosphere could be at fault, as there's insufficient beach front ice for the bears to move out over the ocean where they would regularly be chasing now.

Around 60 bears have been tallied close to the town of Ryrkaypiy, in the Chukotka Region, the greater part a mile inland, as per The World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF).

Open occasions, including regular shows, were dropped in the town and kids have being taken to class and nursery by transport to protect them. Groups of volunteers have been observing the region to ensure the bears don't enter the town itself.
